Who Is The Fairest Of Them All?
Posted by Rey
Janet basically asked which men look better than me to which I can honestly say “Not Many”. She really asked something about sexy guys then modified it for men too even though I thought about putting up a list with Ashton Kutcher, Taye Diggs, Brad Pitt, Eric Mabius, Justin Timberlake, Heath Ledger, Enrique Iglesias and John Mayer (guitar + blog points) then decided against it since it could paint me in a different light.
I then figured I’d list the most attractive ‘toons (featuring Jessica Rabbit, Animaniac’s Nurse, Lady Jaye, Rogue, Blondie Bumstead, Harley Quinn, Cheetara, April O’Neil and Daphne) but then remembered that that was done already.
So then, after a conversation last night with my wife I thought about featuring the hottest Disney Gals (listing Belle, Ariel, Jasmine, Esmeralda, Jane, Pocahontas, Tinker Bell and The Sea-Witch Ursula when she’s human) but The Greek sent me a link proving that that’s been done (though technically I can’t say that Jessica Rabbit is an actual Disney Character).
I entertained the thought of putting up movie gals but figured MCF would jump right on it to make any listing boring and honestly redundant if you consider my Wonder Woman picks.
So In the end I refuse to list anyone. Heh.

A Black Friday Toast
Posted by Rey
::Raises glass:: Now, let’s celebrate the Holiday that follows the Harvest Feast of Thanksgiving with another Hallmark holiday: Black Friday. That’s right, the American capitalist shopping day that gets a jump start on those Christmas sales and hopefully put companies financially back in the black.
Instead of playing football let’s play the mall. Let’s go deal hunting in shopping fields and prance in the parade of people, rubbing elbows with our fellow man. Let the world look at us in jealous sorrow as we give thanks for our over abundance by charging our Mastercard. Let’s simultaneously throw some spare change into the Salvation Army’s bucket, feeling like we’re doing our duty to society while our poverty stricken find a place to sleep near the steaming manhole.
To Black Friday! ::clinky:: ::ka-ching::
Story Hopping: Chapter 2

Continue this story; here’s how you play: (1)Read my short section. (2)Write the following section to develop the story. (3) Drop a comment saying you did it either here or in your blog so others can follow your section (4) Don’t lose track of the details. (5) When I put the next section up I’ll compile the ones that have been posted (with trackbacks to your site) and then we can continue from there. That’s it. Hey, if you don’t play I’ll still carry it on my own. =)
Here’s a link to my intro and MCF’s followup. Below is my addition to the story.
Can It start now? her voice always sneered. He was so sure It could start…but the way she said it; could he be positive?
“Here we go.” Said one of the three men on the other side of the glass. “Prepare to mark.” Something beeped softly. Someone else lit a cigar.
Alex squinted at It like he would the pitcher on the mound. He couldn’t see any imperfections but just like that curve ball, he could feel there was something wrong. He got down on his hands and knees, joints popping as She started to chuckle; God he hated her. Or loved her.
But did the woman know what she was doing to him? No, she couldn’t understand.
Unlock. Reverse Turn. Unlock.
“Yeah, mark at…say eleven. He’s looping.”
It wheezed out a hollow laugh as It’s wheelchair rolled back from the glass. “Round the ring of roses, pots full of posies.”
“Quit your cackling.”

Computer Woes
Posted by Rey
I’ve been working on the same computer for a few years now, upgrading items like the CPU or the Video Card or going to USB 2.0; it’s been grand. But the recent blowout of my power supply unit had me going to my favorite computer hardware site and buying something with a bit more longevity with the changing times: Corsairs HX620W power supply. It’s a gorgeous piece of equipment with modular components for versatility and increased in-case airflow. The only problem is that my motherboard apparently doesn’t support it.
Oh I couldn’t find any documentation to back up this observation, but plugging the badboy in and having my system power up for 1 second before shutting down was pretty much a sure sign. My old mobo raised it’s tired head and said “620 Watts? Nah. I’ll pass.”
So it’s not fried, it’s just refusing to power up with that power supply. My dilemma is to either shop for an old power supply (taking several steps back and expecting another blow out) or move forward and get a new mobo.
But alas, the times have changed. There are a whole lot of changes in the computer landscape forcing a mandatory upgrade of everything from Ram to Hard drives. It’s a significant cost (check out the list on newegg) so now I’m writing from my company’s Mac (::sigh::).
15 Years of notes are being transferred to another computer as we speak, as well as 63Gigs of music and sermons. Thankfully my Logos software is also on my laptop so I haven’t lost access to that resource but now I’m confined to the heavy restrictions of the Apple OS (those are the magic words to summon the Apple-Zombies Thriller style).

“Sy you wanna’ go on a Different Ride? One that’s faster than those other ones and is outside in the sun?”
“Yeah!”
“It’s a Rollercoaster about Goofy. Goofy’s Barnhouse or something like that. There it goes!”
“Yeah! It looks like a plane! It looks fast!”
::jump ahead 20 minutes to us on the coaster climbing upwards::
“Go Tell it on the mountain! Over the Hills and EVERYWHERE!”
“You’re funny Sy; here comes the drop.”
“…!”
::laughter::
“D-Daddy…?”
“Don’t worry Sy, I got you.”
“I am. Not. Fond. Of. This. Ride!”
::jump ahead 42 seconds as we walk off the ride::
“So Sy, do you like Rollercoasters?”
“No. I don’t. That was horrible.”
Rena Sofer = Wonder Woman?

Sorry, not news: but if I updated my Wonder Woman poll with the addition of Rena Sofer, would it change results? If so, I’m extremely sorry about not adding her. Every time I see her I think “She would make an awesome Wonder Woman.”

Disney Vacation Daze

About a half after the clouds let loose you might argue that Disney is still fun when it rains. About an hour into the torrential downpour, witnessing a few lightning strikes and downed rides, and walking around in sponges and wondering if you caught pneumonia you might grudgingly concede the point.
On the plus side, you have easy access to every outdoor right, you don’t mind going on the water rides and splashing in puddles is fun. On the negative, outdoor rides are the highest point on a fairly flat plain, the water rides are air conditioned and you’re feet might be growing a fungus. And you grit your teeth because you’re cheap tickets are sort of wasted on that type of day.
But the kids still loved it. My Son argued before getting on every ride then came off loving the experience; my daughter was awed by everything. All around good time.
Day 2 was even better. It was sunny, no higher than 80, and fairly easy access considering that the park was parked due to family’s taking advantage of the three day weekend.

For arguments sake, let’s say we’re on the same political party; for the remainder of the article that’s what I’ll be. From a raving religious right Christian confirmative toting the Republican banner to a liberal left civil centralizing Democrat
