There might be spoilers down below because I can’t control comments. I specifically stayed off the web when my book came in and waited until I could actually read (and finish) it before getting back online. All I will say is this: “Bloody Wow.”

Children of Hurin

I can’t even go into real details because Tolkien’s world is so expansive but this book was phenomenal. I’m not just saying that because I love Tolkien either. I’ve read Turin Turumbar’s story in the Silmarillion and again in The Book of Lost Tales but the way the story was compiled for CoH really allowed the characters to shine without trying to look at the greater story occurring all around.

So from opening the book twenty four hours ago to closing it I find myself weeping.

Awesome Read: The Dresden Series

On average, I tend to read about fifteen books at once. Sometimes I even finish them. While impatiently waiting for the next installment of any series (the Star Wars Legacy of the Force Series (stil writing), George R. Martin’s (still writing), Robert Jordan’s (in recovery) and J.K. Rowling’s (july 21) ) I decided to try something new and somewhat finished. So I logged onto the SFBC and ordered Jim Butcher’s Dresden Series.
