Pepsi Vs. Coke This Is Not (Part 5 of 5)

Man, Rey sure went on a weird tangent with his blog—why is he flipping out with this stuff?
See, when Mary Baker Eddy takes Jesus’ words and changes them to be speaking about our power heal ourselves by really believing she is completely denying the importance of relying on a power outside of ourselves who alone has the authority and wherewithal to do something about it if we believe him or not. When Mary Baker Eddy up and says that our bodies are unimportant she’s up and denying the fact that the Creator God felt it important enough to put us in bodies. So when Mary Baker Eddy offers Truth she’s actually denying that Jesus Christ Himself is The Truth that God came near to Man and Man up and killed Him in their ultimate exemplification of the Horrid Thing: the DeGodding of God.
There’s a reason why the first commandment is NOT “don’t commit murder” or “don’t sleep around”. It’s “You shall have no other gods before me” for a reason: because He stands outside of and over us.
So it’s not the fact that people pray that makes them better but the God who Stands Outside Of and Over Us who makes better: if we pray or if we don’t. And it’s not that people can contrive some system where God is whatever they want but it’s the Bible’s claim that the God who Stands Outside Of and Over Us revealed Himself and Men have to choose to believe His claims.
Mary Baker Eddy looks at the power of prayer to heal lives but what about the millions of healings that have been untouched by the prayers of people? What about the millions of daily miracles that are unhindered by the hands of people?
This isn’t Pepsi versus Coke or Lost versus 24. It’s not a matter of personal taste. It’s the Ultimate Wrong of Man and I would be personally at fault for not saying something about it.
