Links N’ Junk 18

- iLife. Cisco claims ownership of the title “iPhone”. I guess Apple is going to do something annoying cute like iFone. iAnyShoe adapter—not just Nike. iBuzz (Adult produc) is about to get iSued by Apple.
- Consoles. PS4 anyone?
- DSL. Wireless Cards hitting record speeds especially after their wireless upgrade. (Mind you, this isn’t hopping onto a network, this is cellular technology offering broadband service)
- PC. How to build a pc? No problem: Tom’s Hardware is on it (this is Part 3, rest of the series linked to in the article)
- SciFi. Third SG series in the works (it was on my RSS but since MCF linked to it before me, I might as well give him a HT) Are you going to get the figurines? Also Heroes’ Peter is insane if he sees himself in spandex. And a Horrible sequel to the Lost Rhapsody.
- Celebs. Mary-Kate Olson bears a striking resemblance to Crazy Amy, the Bag Lady or to a Zombie Courtney Love.
- Blogspotting. Jerry has a seriously philosophical poll up. Wendy’s into Toilets (nice charcoals, btw!).
- Art. Scoboco saw Ron Mueck’s work up close—a show I really wanted to see. Also a couple of my Jedi Master Trainers have some sweet sites: Bill and Dennis (at least I think this site is his). Still have a heck of a time not saying “Professor”.
- Random Junk. How geeks dress their kids. Great Conan moment. Let the Charismatics Hit the floor. I think Curt sent this Breast Pump video (I may have also gotten it from Jenn). I think Jerry sent this history of the Middle East video. I don’t even know what to say about this video (HT: BHT).
- Christendom. Christians vs. Christ-Followers: I see their point but I think that like the Mac Ads, it’s overstating things and being kind of dumb about it. In other news, another evangelical (Paul Barnes) steps down.

I got the Stargate link from Kev Bayer; it also mentions movies being made with the SG1 cast after it wraps up, which is probably more exciting news than “Stargate: Deep Space Nine” or “Stargate: Voyager”. B13 sent me that Bodies link too; fun stuff.
The latest Heroes graphic novel felt like filler to me. It was like when D.P.7 started having costumed characters and getting away from the idea of regular people in the real world with special abilities. It seems out of character too. Peter is an idealist; Hiro’s the comic book geek. I did like the preceding one though where Bennet confront’s Eden’s father. I like when the comic fleshes out the character’s complex personalities more. The Peter thing boiled down to 8 pages or so of him worrying about being the good guy and not the bad guy.
Crazy Amy….lol….

That breast pump video is very funny and disturbing at the same time.
Thanks for the link to my toilets, btw.
