House Party
Posted by Rey
Here are some pictures of the new place in the mid-demolition stage. The project is multifaceted. Firstly we needed to tear up the old flooring and put in some hardwood and carpets. Secondly, we need to install some outlets in the basement. Thirdly, we need to paint the place so it looks a bit more modern. Lastly we need to make the new curtains to tie the whole piece up.
The Front of the House: Gorgeous, right?
The Dreaded Blue Room: Blue, white, and white moldings painted flat black. Ugh.
Discarded piles of Carpet
Covering nice steps with bad carpet might be a sin.

As a former construction professional, and an amatuer theologian, I can assure you that covering those steps with carpet would definitely be a sin. Furthermore, whoever conceived of that blue room has no hope of salvation, ever.
It looks like a nice house, though.

Dude! That’s a heck of a house! I’m so happy for you my friend. You’re on your way to become a country sort of folk. As my wife says about our hokey town…all the men are useless, all the women are not so good looking, and all the children are below average…welcome to the country! I’d love to come by and help out with the laundry list of stuff this summer if time allows. We miss you…

Thanks man but if you do come by, we can just sit down and enjoy some iced tea (and not that sun tea that’s all the rave. I’m talking about some good natural snapple or something made from a sugary by-product).
And tell your wife not to stomp on Keilor’s line like that! heh

Whoo Hoo! Rey, you guys found an incredible home! I know you all must be excited to be in the “make it your own” stage. Listen, in a few years when you get done with that list you can come over and show me how efficiently you can do that SAME list in our house. When the time comes dont worry my man, I am totally confident that you will do a good job. God bless you all!
