After a long battle with illness, Robert Jordan has passed away. I would check his blog for updates every 2 weeks or so; this was the off week. MCF let me know.
I read elsewhere that toward the end he was working on an outline for the last book rather than the book itself, knowing losing his battle might be a possibility. :(
