Mandatory Post-NH-Primaries…um…Post

Politics: I don’t like it. I try to avoid talking about it because I find that people get more heated about their Presidential hopeful than they do about the person of Christ or if Buddhism actually works—so I tend to avoid it. But recently I’ve been spending some time trying to figure out who to vote for and I’m once again annoyed by how much I don’t agree with anybody. I have issues close to my heart on both sides of the political fence and I find myself weighing the pros and cons of each candidate in the hopes of voting for the person I can live with as President.

But honestly, that’s an overstatement. In the end I don’t care who becomes President because I know the political machine is way too cumbersome to really be laid on the shoulders of one person. Secondly I’m a firm believer that the only reason people get in power is because God allowed them there: His vote counts.

Anyway, after the New Hampshire primaries, I figured I’d post my research on where the candidates stand: sort of like a cheat sheet meets cliffs notes for voters.

  1. b13 Says:

See, now what I think is that God gave us the power to make the votes count. But you are correct that the political machine is so large that anything they say they will do must be taken with a grain of salt.

  2. b13 Says:

Oh, and anyone that says “end war on day one of office” or “Immediate end” is living in a fantasy. There is no “easy” way out at this point and we must support our troops. A hasty withdrawl will put radicals in a position of power and the situation would get worse.

  3. Rey Says:

Oh I’m positive that our votes count: its not like if every single person votes for one person that God is going to up and magically put someone else in the presidency but ultimately God is the one allowing things. So if the country actually gets by with everyone voting for one person its just that God allowed them to do it. He could easily overrule such a strategy by several means that I guess any one can imagine.

And honestly I think they’re all living a dream in some mythical Political world. Some say “Immediate end to war” others say “end all health care and go Universal” and yet others say “Document every illegal alien and track them.” There’s just some things that are logistically difficult of not impossible.
