Totally. I also kept thinking this Billy reminded me of Billy from BSG, and lo and behold it’s the SAME FRAKKIN ACTOR. If he turns out to be a Cylon maybe the show will improve…

I thought for sure the indestructable car was going to smash through the door, not come in to a perfect stop 10 feet later from that high speed without even jostling his passengers. It’s such a Saturday morning cartoon.

I also forgot to comment on the use of Comic Book Foreigner Notification Law, in which a character from another nation is required to pepper his or her English with phrases like “DIOS MIO!” that inform you of his or her nationality.

Question, when will KITT implement a REAL weapons system? I mean, you’re right, he’s already an autobot. Where’s the guns? Okay, they’ll save it for Goliath or something–but really now: he’s surrounded by guys with guns and instead of pulling a Magneto or some electric pulse he bloody jumps? Jumps? HE JUMPS?!??!

In the original series, officer Michael Long is played by a different actor in the pilot, and after getting shot in the face he’s saved by Wilton Knight and Devon and given a new face and an new identity as Michael Knight. In this series, Mike Traceur is shot with a tranq dart in a subway, his death is faked, so he changes his last name to Knight and continues walking around WITH THE SAME FACE.

On the other hand, KITT is now an Autobot and that girl is gorgeous. I’ll be back next week. It’s weird, the acting was actually better on the new Bionic Woman, but this is somehow more entertaining, like I can check my brain at the door and not really pay attention unless the car is morphing or the girl is stripping. Anytime the cast engages in dialogue and Tribbiani-method acting, I can like balance my checkbook or process photos or something.
