…Went Up The Water Spout

So I’m in my backyard deweeding and coming closer to the flowers when I find this gorgeous and frightening spider (Golden Orb Weaver) that ran toward my hand when I brushed up against its web. Note the distinct web pattern: gorgeous.

Later on, I’m in my family room playing Star Wars Lego (The Original Trilogy) when Shelob (fairly sure she’s a Wolf Spider) comes skittering across the floor. I slapped her with a nearby slipper four times and although she died, she didn’t burst. Eww.

it clearly said “spider” and yet I clicked on the “more” link anyway.

I love LOVE orb weavers. Spiders both give me the creeps and fascinate me.

Also we have a hermit crab and hearing it skittering around in its house right behind my easy chair gives me uncomfortable flashbacks to Eight Legged Freaks.

MCF: Yeah the Macro is sweet on this thing but I still want to upgrade to maybe the Nikon D40.
b13: seriously, those things are frightening.
thewriteJerry: dude, imagine seeing spider 2 all the time. I have tons of those beasts.
Scott: the Orb Weavers are gorgeous but they scare the junk out of me.
