Barring my faulty memory (and if I’m not lazy) I want to post prayers on Monday from all over Church History and then throughout the modern day, and then my own. This one is my own, not on Monday but rather on Sunday, for Mother’s day, but in the form of a Thanksgiving.
Thank you Lord for my wife and Mother of my children.
You had your prophets pen the words of Proverbs 31 as a picture of wisdom, then you decided to give me a wife that illustrated that picture.
Thank you Lord, that in my wife and mother of my children, you remind me of the great care and nurture that you have for people. You provide rain. You provide grain. You provide sun. You love.
And you provide mothers for us all.
So thank you Lord for my own Mother as well.
Amen.
