Standard Response Wednesday

I figured: I have nothing to write…so why not put up a standard response of a fellow blogger. You know, those little sentences that make that blogger unique among other bloggers. Here’s the standard response:

I remember the 2-part Return of Optimus Prime at the end of season 3 that had some odd conversations by the likes of Wreck-Gar. Wreck-Gar was a Junkion, a race of motorcycle robots from the planet of junk who learned English by watching television and his (their) dialogue consisted almost entirely of jingles, taglines, and sitcom quotes, (et. al) which I imagine could prove challenging to the writers as often as it proved fun. Good times.

You won’t see that on his site, but it definitely sounds like the one and only MCF. ::Raises Glass::

  1. When I get home, I’m going to have to check if I (mis?)used “et. al” or had the wrong personal pronoun. When I fire off a quick e-mail reply to my friends, I don’t really proofread as thoroughly as I would a blog entry.

Uh, you know, if that quote that sounds like me was in fact from me and not one of your other loser friends. ;) Speaking of which, is this a new weekly feature?

  2. OK:

Yeah, I remember that. :) That was from the 2-part Return of Optimus Prime at the end of season 3. Wreck-Gar was a Junkion, a race of motorcycle robots from the planet of junk who learned English by watching television. Their dialogue consisted almost entirely of jingles, taglines, and sitcom quotes, which I imagine could prove challenging to the writers as often as it proved fun. Good times.

    :P

  3. This is a new feature and it is not Quotes of the Week it is just a Standard Response…taking the phrasing of someone’s response and featuring it to reflect their blog-voice. It could just as easily have been about The Greatest American Hero with a tie in to George Costanza.

  4. I think I get it now. Let me try:

Who you trying to get crazy with esé? Don’t you know this is a new feature and junk? What the freak; this isn’t quotes of the week! I take phrases, amigo, and twist them like platanos into someones blog-voice, papi! Maricruz!! Oh my word it could have been about Chico and the Man with a reference to Fred from Scooby Doo!

Wait…you said blog-voice, not real world voice mixed with Marvelese Hispanic. OK, I’ll leave this to the expert. Well played, old friend… :)
