Memorial Day 2008

As we grill or enjoy the sun or just sit down and do nothing, just remember to be grateful for the country we live in, the cost of the people who fought to ensure freedoms we enjoy today and look further back at a God who paid the ultimate price so that people could be eternally free. That’s the real memorial right there. Enjoy.

  1. A good point, and well said. I saw a political cartoon on Memorial day that made the point well, too. A husband and wife were complaining that they couldn’t afford to go out of town for the holiday because of the price of gas. Then they complained that they couldn’t grill steaks due to the price of groceries. The husband said “How much more are we gonna have to sacrifice??!?” Then it showed them standing at a soldier’s grave and the husband was saying “Oh, yeah…”

  2. Have a great Memorial Day holiday, but remember the reason: the vets who made the ultimate sacrifice for us.
