Apple: I’ve long said that Apple’s OS software and computer are woefully flawed. But I’ve also been preaching the gospel of the iPod. The iProducts is probably the most powerful contribution that Apple is offering to enter-tech. That being said, maybe the iPhone is more than a dream.

Art: I love and hate great designers. Love them because they inspire me and hate them because their design solutions are so obvious yet so complex. Either way, here’s another couple design wizards: Milton Glaser and Neville Brody.

Theology: Speaking of wizards, Mike talks about his own Gandalf and how everyone needs a wizard in his or her life. I couldn’t agree more.

ThatsGood2Know: Here’s a nice site for researching projectors and comparing them. Many people don’t need a projector; the few who do will love this site.

Random Junk: I’m sure you’ve heard the date: every year there are more car related deaths and injuries than plane related deaths and injuries. I’ve never found that comforting since I’ve survived fender benders but I doubt I would survive a fender bender in the sky. Be that as it may, here’s a link that shows the relative risk of shark attacks on humans. One relative risk is the chances of getting bit by a rabbit in New York. Though, like the fender bender, I think all my limbs would survive a rabbit attack. That is unless it is no regular rabbit and actually the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent I have ever set my eyes on. Do I even have to link to the reference?

  1. I was skeptical…thought the noise was way too loud, like they were overcompensating. The shots of the pilot climbing in though, and the shots from inside the cockpit were pretty convincing…and I have seen footage of construction applications of similar tech in Japan.

    Question is, what advantage does this have over say a tank? This is as loud, slower, and as we well know, can be taken down by three teddy bears, a log, and a sturdy rope. Looks cool though. I kept waiting for the barking dog to yelp when they were firing heh heh…

  2. I’m not sure of it’s military application at this point but it sure looks like it’ll be great during a paintball match.
