I’m putting up a few universes against each other. Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate or Galactica: who do you think would win and can you state why? I know I could list other universes but I won’t.
Stargate of course: reason…of all the possibilities, there is one truth:
MacGuyver
I was thinking Star Wars because of the Death Star. Then I thought Star Wars because of the force. Then I read Phil’s comment and got pwnd. :(
By universe do you mean.. if everyone/thing within that universe joins forces to defeat the other universe? if so, then the startrek universe would win without a doubt. species 85725, teamed up with the borg, and the Q… comon now.. star trek universion as a whole beats out all.
I know I could list other universes but I won
No Marvel Universe? Blasphemy. ;)
I think Ivan makes a good point about Trek, especially with Q. I don’t think any of the other shows have a character(race?) with reality altering abilities on that level. With a thought he could turn the Death Star into pudding. That being said, Trek is probably my least favorite of the fictional universes listed, and I’d put Star Wars first(though Galactica is no joke).
I haven’t watched enough SG to factor in their races, but are the Gould or the Ori on par with someone like Q? There is the MacGuyver factor that Phil brings up as well, though. If anyone could neutralize a cosmic being with a paper clip, a rubber band, and toner it would be him.
Now Red Dwarf, if you factor in alternate universes and all the variant Ace Rimmers, might be the underdog to rise up and crush the four you listed in an unlikely and comedic manner.
Oh, I’ve wasted my life…
Phil: Good point. Macguyver can escape from anything and diffuse anything but he has never been on the business end of an orbital barrage from an Imperial Star Destroyer or a Defiant Class attact ship.
B13: But your Death Star does trump a Macguyver…as long as he’s not flying a snubfighter down critical tunnel that will set off a chain reaction ultimately destroying your reign of terror. The force probably won’t work on him to confuse him, but you could throw things at him like crazy. Problem is he’ll probably have a Gou’ld device and be able to repel those attacks.
Thirsty: “If real is what you can feel, smell, taste and see, then ‘real’ is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain”
Oh yeah, MCF: reason I didn’t list the Marvel Universe is because of the Infinite Gauntlet. That combined with say, Xavier
Trek. As much as I hate to admit it. See, I think all geeks instinctively want Star Wars to be the best, but the combined might of the Borg, The Q, Species 85725 and the tenacity of the human race would be too much for any universe to overcome.
Except perhaps the Babylon 5 universe… which is not on the list.
PLEASE… where has my life gone.
The replicators where the borg… same thing
Q was an ass (as much as i liked him) So the accened ancients are Q… remeber Ohma (god i can see my life running away now) she was a rogue “god” just like Q…. everything is the same except of macguyver… Ohh I’ve wasted my life.
Frakkin’ frell, Phil’s right: The Ascended and the Ori are all Q and the higher version of the Replicators are better assimilations than anything the Borg or Cylons have ever done!
Yes, but the Cylons have a plan, or so I’m told from some caption somewhere….

And God forbid the Borg gets their hand on this.
