At these times I try to find a way to both calm him down and redirect his energies.<\/p>\n<p>Usually this consists of me telling him to sit down, stare at a wall for five minutes and then followed by a brief writing session. In the session he has to write down five sentences that tell me something about the wall\u2014and they can&#8217;t be mere facts. They must be creative in their formulation, else he has to examine the wall some more.<\/p>\n<p>Yeah, I know; it sounds crazy. Welcome to the world with Me as Dad. Here&#8217;s his most recent two sessions followed by a short essay on why he loves Summer that he wrote in Winter.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Session 1:<\/strong> The wall is so bad. When I look at it, it destroys my mind. When I look at it, I know what it&#8217;s thinking. It is waiting to give me a headache with its weapon (its color). If I look at it for 25 minutes I WILL get a headache.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Session 2:<\/strong> The wall is the color Moans Dust. There is bump patterns with scratches. It is not fun to draw it. It only has outlets on it. It should be blue.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summer:<\/strong> There are so many things about summer that I love. First of all I have vacation. That means I can play whenever. 2nd of all I go on trips like the beach. I love trips because its comfy in my carseat. Finally I love the dark nights. I can watch stars then.
